Exhibition Detail

The exhibition “Repetition into Form” explores the process through which the stray thoughts constantly generated in our repetitive daily lives are transformed into sculptural forms. The exhibition begins with existing works of condensed masses—tangled and knotted clusters of these thoughts. Building upon this structural and sculptural language, the showcase extends beyond three-dimensional objects into works expanded through various forms and colors, presenting newly nuanced variations of these shapes. While every piece originates from the same repetitive act of “knotting,” each reveals a distinct form, transcending the mere action to become a unique sculptural language of its own.

My hope is that the time spent with these works goes beyond simple visual appreciation. I invite you to linger in this space, momentarily clearing the lingering thoughts that envelop you in daily life, and allowing for a time of quiet introspection. Just as the act of repetitive knotting served as a meditative practice for me to dissolve my own distractions, I hope this experience naturally seeps into your own time and space, creating a shared moment of reflection.
